Mario is on a jeepney heading to SM Fairview, just like he is on any other day. As always, he is going to meet his wife and pick her up after work.
The jeepney has always been his preferred mode of transportation; it's something he's taken ever since he was young. These days, he commutes every day to meet her at the mall, they spend some time there, share a meal, and wait for the heat of the day to pass. When evening comes, they once again ride a jeepney home together.
"This has become our routine every single day. We still meet at the mall and get the jeepney home again, even at our age. That's what love is."
No matter the weather, he shows up. Whether it's hot or raining, he makes the trip just for her.
"I believe the saying that women should be protected. As a man, this is how I show my love. I know I don't even have to say anything. Just by being there for her, she already knows that I love her."
For Mario, the jeepney ride is part of a loving daily ritual of showing up, staying close, and making sure she doesn't have to go home alone.
